Domestic Violence: Uche Ogbodo Disagrees With Monalisa Chinda, Says It Can Never Be A Woman’s Fault

Rising actress Uche Ogbodo insists domestic violence can never be the woman’s fault, disagreeing with her Nollywood colleague Monalisa Chinda who in an interview last week, was of the opinion that women can sometimes provoke men to beat them.

In an interview with NET TV, Ogbodo who just released a movie based on domestic violence said ‘I disagree with Monalisa. We all have our minds and how we understand certain things. You know they say women talk a lot but not all women talk… I don’t think she should capitalize on women being the cause of domestic violence because it is not true’.

She further said she decided to produce her movie ‘Stolen Vow’ was because the story could easily relate to every woman who has been through any form of domestic violence.

‘Women who go through such pain just bottle it all up. Stolen Vow, talks about a lady who was duped by a guy who came into her life with a master plan of destroying her. She so devastated that she almost lost her life in the process’.
